The United Benefice of Withington, Sevenhampton with Charlton Abbots, Hawling, Whittington, Dowdeswell and Andoversford, Shipton and Cold Salperton
St Michael & All Angels' Church, Withington
The parish includes the village of Withington, and the smaller village of Foxcote on the Andoversford border, with a combined population of about 600.
The Grade 1 listed Norman church of St Michael’s, the largest in the benefice, is carefully and lovingly maintained. In 2010 it became the first church in the UK to declare zero carbon status after installing solar panels on the nave roof and converting to a biomass boiler using wood pellets.
